Get Fit Challenge - Week 3

Bikram kitty cat is such an inspiration - he only needs one little bottle of water for class!

Well, here were my goals for last week:
Saturday - 1.5 hours of Bikram
Sunday - 1.5 hours of Hot Vinyasa (+3 mile run)
Monday - 1.5 hours of Bikram
Tuesday - 1.5 hours of Silent Bikram
Wednesday - 1.5 hours of Silent Bikram (+5 mile run)
Thursday - 1.5 hours of Hot Vinyasa
Friday - 1.5 hours of Silent Bikram

Here's what happened: Basically of the yoga, none of the running!
Saturday - 1.5 hours of Barkan
Sunday - 1.5 hours of Hot Vinyasa
Monday - 1.5 hours of Bikram
Tuesday - 1.5 hours of Silent Bikram
Wednesday - 1.5 hours of Silent Bikram
Thursday - 1.5 hours of Hot Vinyasa
Friday - 1.5 hours of Silent Bikram

What can I say? We had a few days of great weather, but, unforunately, between work and yoga I didn't have time to run and on the days when I do have the time (as in...today) it's a bit chilly and I'm more or less exhausted. I decided to conserve my energy since tomorrow I have the Running of the Green 4 Mile Race in the morning and then Bikram in the afternoon. I'm also contemplating doing a double yoga session on Sunday to make up for the days that I'll be missing in Florida, but I keep getting invited to St. Patrick's Day festivities...and I really want to do them! I don't know, we'll see.

I'd show you Running of the Green 2012, but this is the only picture that seems to have survived of the race, courtesy of Tony.

thanks.

This week I ate rather poorly - multiple fried things, ice cream, etc. Needless to say, I haven't lost any weight at all during this challenge. That being said, I have seen a noticeable difference in my body, mostly my arms. One of the reasons I decided to do this challenge is so that I could get in shape for Florida, but, seeing as I haven't lost any weight and while my arms are toned my guy is not, I haven't really accomplished my goal. SO. This week I am going to try and eat healthy! Hopefuly eating healthy, watching calories, and doing the double workouts will help me lose a pound or two. My goal was to get to 120 pounds. Not going to happen, but I will take whatever progress I can!

Today is DAY 15 of my 30 Day Hot Yoga Challenge! Yay for being halfway! Now let's get some results :P

    2. Awesome! I have the same problem, once I started working from home I started doing a lot more sitting :P And you should give hot yoga a try. I never did "regular" yoga before I started hot yoga, but I really liked it. My mom just started last week, and hot yoga was her very first yoga class, too :)
